I’m not eating enough?
It has recently come to my attention that females require 800 calories a day to keep their core things working. They need more than that to function properly – namely 1800 calories per day.
So today I decided to count my calories to see how many I was actually eating. I counted all the food I’d eaten so far and all the food I was bringing to work to eat. The total? 1050. That’s not enough. I need at least 750 more. When I get home from work I do have supper and often a snack before bed, but will it add up to 750 calories? My guess would be no, and that might be part of my problem. I’m trying to loose some weight (doctor’s orders), but it’s just not happening. I’m not eating horribly or anything, and I was going to the gym 5 times a week for 45 to 50 minutes – that’s 4 hours a week of exercise. I say was because I had to stop when I went on vacation and now my gym partner, Taryn, has gone on vacation so it’s much harder to get my ass to the gym. It’s just not as fun when you do it by yourself. Is my problem simply that I’m not eating enough? How weird is that?
I think I need to sit down and really work out what I need to be eating, when I need to eat it, and how much of it I need to eat. Then the really hard part – I have to actually follow the schedule and make sure that I’m eating enough. What a bizarre concept.
